President Geingob (3 August 1941 – 4 February 2024) was a Namibian politician who served as the third president of Namibia from 2015 until his death in February 2024. In February 2023, during my visit to Namibia, I had the pleasure of meeting the late President Hage Geingob, and it became the most memorable trip I’ve ever taken. President Geingob was a gracious host, generously sharing insights and encouragement when I discussed The Birthday Journal. His support affirmed that this novel idea was destined for success. Beyond our discussions, he showcased the warmth and hospitality of Namibia, leaving an indelible mark on my experience.
