as parents, we look upon our family today with hearts full of gratitude. What began with the eight of us has blossomed into something far greater than we could ever have dreamed. With each new member—Jude Kweku Annan, Ebow Darko Dawson, and Oral Afrifa-Appiah (the in-laws)—welcomed through marriage, our blessings have multiplied. Our children have, in turn, brought even more love into the family, and the joy of watching our grandchildren—Walter, Kayla, Kirsten, Gabriel, Oral Nathan, Lisbeth, Estelle-Maris, and Adalyn-Faith—grow has been the sweetest gift of all.
