Hardworking and excellent at multitasking, your unflinching support for others’ dreams and careers is truly commendable. You embody the qualities of the big sister I never had, and I love to tease you just for fun. Your affable personality is something I deeply appreciate. Some of my fondest memories with you are from your visits to Ghana. You always brought an array of goodies, but one gift I cherish was a pair of thick leggings. They became my most treasured clothing, providing warmth and comfort whenever I suffered from rheumatic pain at night. Another unforgettable gift was the Samsung tablet you got me for law school. I loved it so much that I’ve kept it to this day. I sincerely wish for you to continue being the incredible person you are. I pray that God keeps you in good health and helps you reach new heights, fulfilling all your dreams and aspirations. Wishing you the very best from the bottom of my heart. Glennis Anquandah Monica, you are a gem with a motherly love and heart. Your down-to-earth nature and consistent support make you truly special. Calgary Ladies Social Abena, Augustina, Comfort, Cynthia, Gloria and Martha Monica, I appreciate how much you enjoy talking, and how world problems seem to get solved in the process. I remember the first time I let you drive my Pathfinder—you wouldn’t go over 50 in an 80 km/h zone. My wish for you in the next decade is that you achieve all your work goals and that your family prospers. And, just maybe, you might hit at least 70 km/h in an 80 zone by the end of those 10 years. Robert Lachance Monica, you are reliable, and we can always count on you through both happy times and tough times. Your honesty and straightforwardness make you a cherished friend. We’ve shared many great memories together. We recall your move from Ontario to Fort McMurray— full of youth and energy. And now, here you are at 50! We wish you continued good health and the energy to enjoy the beautiful journey ahead. Family Dogbe The Birthday Journal 49
