Monica 80 Magazine

I met Maa in 1994 through Akua Asante. She has been a mother to all —warm, kind-hearted, and generous. I will never forget her infectious smile. One special moment that touched me was when she personally delivered two beautiful lace materials to me when I turned 50. That was such a selfless act. Thank you, Maa, for showing me so much love. I still smile when I remember her strong desire to visit Dubai. Maa, see what the Lord has done! As you celebrate this beautiful milestone, I thank you for being such a loving mother to us all. May your infectious smile never fade away. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He shine His face upon you and be gracious to you. Love you, Vivian Konadu Acheampong AuntieMonica, I first met you in 1980, and even at just five years old, I saw you as the most beautiful woman in the world. Your grace and gentle nature matched your beauty perfectly. You were a true and trusted friend to my mother. I still remember the tantrums I threwwhenever my mum visited you without me. The kindness and gentleness you and your daughter showed me whenever we visited your home taught me what it means to treat others with warmth and love. I always wanted to be that kind of person when I grew up. And oh, how I’ll never forget the nickname you gave me — “Eii, Akuba the Great.” I didn’t fully understand it then, but it always made me feel special. Thank you for being such a genuine friend to my mother, Theresa, and for being the true picture of loyalty and kindness. You are an epitome of true friendship — trustworthy, gentle-spoken, and very kind — qualities that continue to inspire me. May God continue to richly bless you and strengthen you in every way. I love and appreciate you so much. Stella Abrobah Cudjoe-Doku The Birthday Journal 81
