Monica 80 Magazine

Mrs. Monica Yaa Yaa Frimpomaa Asante, Mother-Friend Extraordinaire. Today we celebrate YOU!—An exceptional woman whose relentless strength, wellspring of wisdom anchored in unwavering faith, and overflowing with love has touched and transformed countless lives. We celebrate eight decades of purpose, prayer, and perseverance! We celebrate 80 beautiful, grace-filled years — of which I have been blessed to share 51 unforgettable years with you as daughter. You are intelligent, prayerful, and deeply humble — a woman who shines yet quietly steps aside to let others glow. Your selflessness is one of your greatest virtues — selfless in every sense of the word, always give generously, always think of others before yourself and find joy in seeing those around you flourish. You do not seek applause, praise, acceptance, or acknowledgment in any of these acts; yet you simply show up, again and again, faithfully choosing to do what is right. Your sacrifices are countless, and none have gone unnoticed or taken for granted. As a widow, you have walked through both sunlight and shadow, holding steadfast to God’s promises. You have borne sorrowwith grace, turning pain into purpose and trials into testimonies. I now understand more fully the love, patience, and quiet strength that have carried our family through every season. Through it all, you have shown me that strength is not the absence of tears, but the courage to keep moving forward with faith as your guide. Your devotion to family has shaped us in more ways than words can express. And each day I spend as a mother, deepens my respect and appreciation for all that you have done, and all that you continue to be. You live simply, content with the little that you have, reminding us that joy is not found in abundance but in gratitude. Your minimalistic approach to life and way of life reflect the purity of your heart — a heart that is content, a heart that is uncluttered by material pursuits, pride or pretense, a heart filled instead with gratitude, grace, faith, love and peace. Your love for people is uncontainable; it spills naturally into every space you enter. You have an incredible gift for connecting with people so deeply so quickly, and before anyone knows it, you have gained a new child — and we have another sibling. You somehow find a way to turn simple encounters into lasting bonds —Whether it is a market vendor, a seat mate on a bus, or a stranger in a waiting room, you listen with your heart, laugh with your whole being, and make people feel special in the most natural way — because to you, they are! Long after you have met someone, you still remember their story — and when you speak of them, your voice lights up with warmth and care. It is no wonder that wherever you go, you leave behind a trail of smiles — and hearts that remember you. Maa, youmay not be perfect – and you have never claimed to be – yet what makes you extraordinary is that you have never allowed imperfections to define or hinder your purpose. You rise HowGreat Is Our God -Song by Chris Tomlin “....How great is our God Sing with me, how great is our God And all will see how great, How great is our God Name above all names, Worthy of all praise My heart will sing, how great is our God You’re the name above all names (all name) You are worthy of all praise (all praise) And my heart will sing, how great is our God How great is our God, Sing with me, how great is our God And all will see how great, How great is our God How great is our God, How great is our God How great, how great is our God, The whole world say it The whole world say it How great is our God How great is our God How great, how great is our God.” The Birthday Journal 69
