We have known AuntyMonica for over fifty years. Our families lived together and sharedmany beautiful memories on the UST campus, where her late husband, Mr. Asante, and our father both served as lecturers. Fromour childhood days to this very moment, we have always affectionately called her AuntyMonica. AuntyMonica is a truly down-to-earth, personable, and caring woman. To us, she embodies friendliness, compassion, and humility. She remains one of the most regular visitors to our home — always checking in on the household and engaging each of us in warm, cheerful conversations. Her visits are deeply appreciated and give us a wonderful sense of belonging. Our fondest memories include her beautiful hair, elegant and chic appearance, simple yet tasteful dress sense, and her signature anklets, which perfectly reflect her graceful personality. AuntyMonica’s kindness, care, and love are evident in all she does for us. She has become an integral part of our family, always supporting us during gatherings and celebrations. We remain eternally grateful for the immense help and encouragement she gave during our mother’s funeral three years ago— a gesture we shall never forget. Conversations with AuntyMonica are always engaging, interesting, and full of wisdom. Though we may occasionally hold differing opinions, suchmoments have never affected the warmth, respect, and affection we share with her. AuntyMonica, we thank God for the gift of your life and for blessing us with your love, guidance, and friendship over the years. As you celebrate this special milestone, we pray that the Almighty continues to bless you abundantly, grant you good health, and strengthen you in all your ways. May your days be filled with joy, peace, and the grace of God. Enjoy your new age! With our love and warmest wishes, The Owusu Addo Children The Birthday Journal 37
