My earliest memory of meeting you was when you visited Mom in Canada. I must have been around 12, though perhaps we met even earlier when I was little. From that moment, your warm and infectious personality made a lasting impression on me. You have a remarkable way of putting people at ease and connecting with everyone you meet, inspiring curiosity and openness in those around you. One of my favourite memories is when you insisted on walking me to middle school. Even though I wanted to appear independent, you kept pace with me the entire way. The company was enjoyable, and it became a moment I still smile about today. You have also taught me the value of simple routines, like making my bed in the morning, and how small habits can shape the rest of the day. I am grateful for your kindness and care —not just toward me, but also towards my parents, my sister, and my wife. You’ve always been positive, inquisitive, and friendly. Wishing you continued health, joy, and many more wonderful years ahead. It was such a pleasure seeing you this past summer, and I hope we share many more happy moments together. Kwaku Gharbin I have known AuntieMonica for as long as I can remember. Growing up, she was always present at family gatherings — cheerful, full of energy, and always asking if I was eating well! AuntieMonica is a strong, loving, and prayerful woman. Her discipline, faith, and positive attitude inspire me to be a better man and to value family above all else. One memory that always makes me smile is when she gently scolded me for not calling her often, yet still sent me home with food. Her loving way of teaching and caring for others has left a lasting impression on me. She is supportive, joyful, and caring. I am grateful to her for her constant encouragement — she always finds the right words to motivate me and reminds me that hard work and patience truly pay off. AuntieMonica, wishing you a beautiful 80th birthday! Thank you for being the heart of our family and for showing us what love, faith, and resilience look like. We celebrate you today with deep appreciation and love. Dennis Prempeh 162 The Birthday Journal
