Maa Yaa, We’ve known you all our lives. You have always been a constant and loving presence in our family — full of warmth, laughter, and wisdom. From childhood gatherings to family celebrations, you have always been there with your beautiful smile and kind heart. You inspire us with your faith, discipline, and compassion. Your advice always brings peace, and your love binds us together as one family. One of our favourite memories is sitting and chatting with you; you always have a story to tell and wise words to share. You have touched our lives in many ways, especially through your advice and support during difficult times. You have taught us that patience and prayer can overcome anything. The three words that best describe you are loving and cheerful. If we could thank you for just one thing, it would be for your love and guidance. Happy 80th Birthday, Maa Yaa! You are a blessing and a treasure to our family. May God bless you with many more years of health, laughter, and peace. We thank God for your life and the love you continue to share with us all. Thank you for supporting your sister, Maa Grace, in her later years, and for being there for us duringMum’s anniversary. Your care and generosity are deeply appreciated. Shalom. With love, Maame Pokuaa, Nana Bonsu, and Naa Sei I have knownMaa Yaa Yaa since I was born, through my mum, who is her maternal sister. Maa Yaa Yaa is very strict, kind-hearted, and God-fearing. One of my favourite memories of her is from her time at the university campus. She also touched my life during my secondary school days. I remember funny and lighthearted moments when I visited her at home. Even during a misunderstanding I had with my wife, her guidance helped me gain perspective. I want to thank her for the support she gave me when I lost my mother-in-law. Happy Birthday, Mummy! May your new age bring longevity of life. Amen. Wofa Yaw 128 The Birthday Journal
