Monica 80 Magazine

I first met you in 1991 at Chief ’s graduation party at your house. From that day, you have always been ready to help and to generously share your opinions and experiences. I fondly remember when I was still at the University and became your first daughter-in-law; you would come to take me toMass every Sunday at the Catholic Church where you worshipped. You touched my life in countless ways, especially when your grandchildren were born. You were always willing to help take care of them for extended periods, and it was such a blessing to have you around. Thank you for everything. Wishing you God’s blessings and abundant grace on your special day. Happy 80th birthday! Joyceline AuntieMonica, I met you when I visited AK for the first time at your house in Kumasi. I still chuckle about the time you politely asked me to go back to campus when I stayed too late that day. One of my favourite memories is when I asked for your permission to marry AK— you feigned complete surprise! And of course, you are the only one who calls me “Professor Benneh”, which still amuses me. You are very strong, deeply thoughtful, and incredibly caring. You have been a very supportive mother-in-law. Your many years of dedicating yourself, your time, and your energy to helping out with our children when they were born and through their early years is very much appreciated. Your unconditional love and support has been, and continues to be, invaluable, and I will forever be grateful. Happy birthday, AuntieMonica! Thank you for raising an incredible daughter who became my partner in life. May all the blessings you’ve bestowed on others be returned a hundredfold for another 80 years of your life! Love, Paa Kwasi 120 The Birthday Journal
