Monica 80 Magazine

As we celebrate you at 80, we are filled with deep gratitude for the love, loyalty, and care you have shown us over the years. Truly, you’ve always been there — in moments of joy, need, and transition. We honestly can’t remember a time when you weren’t available to help, support, or simply show up with your warm presence. Your consistency and faithfulness are rare gifts. Tina remembers meeting you throughWofa Yaw in 1974 when she was just 14 years old, and Ruth’s earliest memory of you goes back to nursery days. From those early years till now, you’ve been family in every sense. Whenever we travel to Ghana, you still cook and bring food to our home, always asking how you can help — and you truly follow through. Your youthful spirit and ability to connect with everyone, regardless of age, make you a joy to be around. Ruth especially remembers Easter 1994— how you came dancing, singingHosanna, and waving a palm branch after church. That simple act of joy left a lasting mark on her heart and played a part in her decision later that year to become a committed Christian. What a beautiful legacy of faith you carry! And Tina will never forget your dance to “Buga (Lo Lo Lo)” at our mum’s 80th birthday —we still laugh every time we remember that moment. Auntie, we are deeply grateful for your friendship with our mums, Auntie Awura Abena and AuntieMolly. The way you continue to visit and care for Auntie Awura Abena speaks volumes about your genuine heart. You are fun, caring, and supportive — and we thank God for your life. May He bless you with long life, good health, and overflowing joy. May your children’s children rise and call you blessed, and may you continue to declare His mighty works to generations to come. Tina (Ama) & Ruth (Maame Bema) I’ve known you since the seventies through my mother Auntie Theresa, and over the years, your kindness and good heart have always stood out. You’ve been a source of wisdom and good advice, and I’ve always admired your gentle spirit and care for others. Even though it’s been many years, your warmth and genuine nature have left a lasting impression. You’ve truly been an awesome and one-of-a-kind auntie. As you celebrate this beautiful milestone, I wish you God’s abundant grace, good health, and long life. You deserve every blessing that comes your way. Kwadwo Anarfi 102 The Birthday Journal
