Miki, We admire your strong focus and humility. You know what you want, you work hard for it, and you support others quietly. Your calm determination has always inspired us. One of our greatest memories is our national service days together in Ho, Ghana. We remember your confidence, your clear plans to become a lawyer, and your constant encouragement that our futures were bright. Those moments shaped our friendship. Thank you for believing in us and for supporting us in quiet but meaningful ways—especially your encouragement during national service and your help in securing our land. These remain blessings we deeply appreciate. We wish you good health, peace, and greater fulfilment. May the years ahead reward your humility, hard work, and dedication. Happy 50th, Michael. Seth & Bridget Anani I call himmy boss… he doesn’t like that, but I still do it when I want to tease him. Then he laughs. Michael is so approachable, and it’s always easy to run things by him. I’ve learned so much from him because, for Michael, everything is a teachable moment. His knowledge is vast, and sometimes when I go to his office, I check the time to see if I have a couple of hours to spare… because you really can’t get away that easily! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BOSS MICHAEL! We love you. Emma Morisson Amiko and I go way back to our St. Augustine’s days, both of us starting out in the Science stream. Life then did what it does best, Amiko took a sharp and brilliant turn into Law, while I detoured into Economics and Finance. Different lanes, same drive. Over the years, our paths kept intersecting. On the APSU platform, we served together on the Building Project Sub-Committee during the 88th S&P Giving hosted by our year group, and later on the (now defunct, but not forgotten!) Welfare Committee. Since then, we’ve pretty much stayed in daily touch. Along the way, Amiko has become not just a trusted sounding board, but a true friend of my family, one of those rare people whose presence is both grounding and energising. Amiko is deeply loved and immensely respected on the APSU ’93 platform. There is no mining or legal issue that isn’t elevated and often concluded by his insight. He is the quintessential APSUNIAN: our proud export to the Mining & Metals space, the legal fraternity, Ghana, and the world at large. Let’s be honest, everyone wants to be Amiko. He inspires us effortlessly and consistently. So, on this golden milestone, Posh and I wish you the Lord’s abundant blessings. May you scale even greater heights, and may your later years be supremely impressive, outshining even the remarkable feats you’ve already achieved (and that’s saying something). We love you dearly and wish you an amazing, purpose-filled life ahead. Happy 50th Birthday, Amiko! Amiko!! Amiko!!! Happy Birthday Michael Tom Sawyer The Birthday Journal 52
