Michael, What I love most about you is your mind. You have such a great one— your understanding of the world and your place in it, how things are interconnected, your appreciation of the law and the way you break it down, all grounded in deep empathy and humanity. It’s remarkable. One memory that stands out for me is when I first met you in Ghana. I honestly didn’t know who you were or the position you held. It was simply the way you related to me that left a strong impression and gave me enormous respect for you. Your love and dedication to your family are second to none. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, wisdom, and advice so generously. It has been invaluable. My wish for you is that you continue to grow in wisdom and stature according to God’s goodness and mercy; that the Lord grants you long life and peace of mind, and continues to lift you up in every sphere of life possible. Philip Ashon Amikooooooooooo, What I love most about you is your thoughtfulness. One memory that stands out for me is from our days at Law School in Ghana. We were headhunted by our Company Law lecturer, Seth Asante of BELA, to interview with the great Kojo Bentsi-Enchill. After a successful interview, we decided to walk from Teachers’ Hall all the way to Circle to take a trotro home. On that long walk, we spoke about our dreams and ambitions—so full of hope, so ready for the future. Ages and ages later, all those dreams and ambitions have come to pass, and even more. God has truly been kind and faithful. That day remains deeply embedded in my subconscious. Thank you for the laughter every time we speak, and for always being dependable and thoughtful. I wish you long life and good health. Kimathi Kuenyehia, Sr. Michael, What I love most about you is that you’re friendly and always full of smiles. This makes you a very unique person and easy to approach. One great memory I have is when we served together as executive members of the East Legon Hills Association. During that time, I saw firsthand how intelligent, hardworking, and dedicated a team player you are. Thank you for being selfless, supportive, and always there for others. Michael, I wish you long life, good health, happiness, God’s abundant grace upon you, and more cash…cash….cash! Stella Yawa Seamegbe Hi Michael, Michael is the man! He’s always willing to lend an ear and dish out some solid advice. If you ask him about something, you can count on receiving the lowdown! He’s super knowledgeable and thorough, so you’ll definitely get a lot of insight from him. During my time at SIC-FSL Financial Services, I had the pleasure of sharing office space with you. Our lunch breaks became a regular occasion for camaraderie, with me often visiting your office, where you would indulge in homemade meals prepared by Cynthia. It was remarkable to observe your relish for her cooking, as evidenced by the consistent absence of leftovers, save for the occasional ground chicken bones. Following our departure from SIC-FSL, we continued our lunch meetings, albeit at various restaurants, and I noted that the same enthusiasmwas not replicated when the meals were not Cynthia’s—i.e., chicken bones were left untouched and there was no finger-licking as in the office. Thank you for inspiring me to diversify my investments and venture into the stock market. Your market updates and projections prompted me to reassess my longterm financial plans, and the value of my investments appreciated considerably, enabling me to start a construction project. Happy 50th birthday, Michael! May this milestone birthday mark a new chapter of blessings, joy, and peace. May God continue to expand your territory and fill your life with boundless happiness. Welcome to the golden years, my brother. Here’s to many more adventures together! Albert Boateng The Birthday Journal 48
