65 February 2022 The Birthday Journal birthday party and I was able to achieve exactly that and more! Why did you opt for a James Bond Themed party? I wanted the celebration to have a look and feel that was exciting and really cool. As a huge James Bond fan that loves fashion, I decided on the ‘James Bond’ theme. I decided that if the men mainly dressed in black tuxedoes or suits with bow ties, it would not only make the event classy, but aesthetically cool. I also teased that the ladies ‘dress to kill,’ and that all guests had the ‘licence to party.’ The guests did not disappoint! The feedback was fantastic! How has your perspective on ageing changed as you’ve reached this milestone, and how did you incorporate that into the celebration? I have become more conscious about my age and the need to be more deliberate and intentional in achieving my life goals; take care of myself, savour the times I have with my wife and boys, create more memories with family and friends, enjoy my career, influence the next generation positively and grow in faith. My sweet wife, Freda AyensuBamfo thoughtfully decided on making a ‘Birthday Journal’ for me as a birthday gift. It was a game changer! I was so excited about the idea and ran with it. The idea of sharing my life story with family, friends, colleagues and the public at large was highly consistent with the essence of the event. I shared my ‘Birthday Journal’ on key social media platforms. On ‘Linked in,’ where I am an influencer with over 30,000 followers, the post had over 105 comments, 362 likes, and 24,482 impressions, whiles on ‘Facebook,’ it had 120 comments, 297 likes and 3 reposts. Considering the feedback, I have received from a handful of the next generation, I believe I am achieving my dream of sharing my life lessons and experiences with the next generation, to better navigate their life journeys.
