Hmm, I thought, looking him up and down when I saw him the second day. I had not had the opportunity to assess him the day before. He was cute, exactly what I liked in a man; tall, dark, and handsome. I literally felt myself shaking and feeling very attracted to him. To make things even better, he came across as smart and intelligent. Prior to that, I had never gone out with a young man. I had always dated older men, and they often pampered me. It turned out the young man, whose name was Francis Achemdey, felt the same way about me because he did come back to my office the next day, this time to make a booking for Switzerland, which I did. It was when he returned from Switzerland that we officially started dating. To tell the truth, I have always thought of marriage as the ultimate. I don’t know why, but I cherish marriage. I always wanted to be like Kofi Annan’s wife. So I was always looking to marry somebody who is enlightened. I knewwhat Iwanted. We got married on 5th June 1999. My marriage has been nice, but it has been equally toxic. I suppose that I had really high expectations of how a marriage should be, so I tend to easily get disappointed when we hit a rough patch, but we have been together for twentyfour years, and we really love each other so maybe there is something strong binding us together.
