One fine day, I walked along my street with my two big mobile phones in my hands, hurrying to my friend’s place to charge my phone. There was no light at home, yet I had just started my new job, and I definitely needed some means of communication. Hearing a car slow down behind me, I stopped and looked behind. Sure enough, there was a car, and it was stopping. Then a young woman stepped out, greeted me, and said, “Please, my brother would like to have a chat with you,” whichwas a bit surprising, but I stopped. He asked me where I was going, which I told him. “Why don’t you hop in, and I will give you a lift there?” he asked, sounding nice and chatty, so I had no reservations about accepting his offer. He drove me to my friend’s, but she had no light, then to his place, and he had no light, so he offered to drive me to his friend’s, and luckily he had light. So I left the phones there. He promised to bring them to me the following day, which he did, coming all the way to my office at Alitalia to bring them. TheinfernoOf challenges 24 The Birthday Journal
