I emerged as a shining star among my colleagues at Emirates, recognized for my effectiveness as a solution provider. Customers willingly waited for their turn, preferring to have Juliet attend to their needs. However, with such recognition came numerous interpersonal challenges and instances of witch-hunting. Eventually, managers were dispatched fromDubai to address some of the office challenges in Accra. During the review of the problems, it became clear that I had been set up by the then-manager. Despite my decision to leave the company, they surprised me by granting direct access to issue tickets on Emirates. My explanation of the situation convinced them, and Emirates encouraged me to continue my career in the industry and work with them as an agent. Seizing the opportunity in 2009, I founded Jaflinks Travel & Tours Limited, initially focusing on selling tickets exclusively for Emirates. However, by 2012, the company obtained its IATA license, allowing it to issue tickets for all international airlines. The primary focus of the business is selling tickets, including tours. I concentrated on ticketing to serve more clients. Despite the small profit margins per ticket and the need to manage operating costs, this approach has resulted in a successful business. Even with ticketing, I prioritize corporate clients. Through strong relationships with banks, Jaflinks can pre-finance some well-established corporate clients and efficiently support their travel needs. With years of experience in the ticketing sector, I not only act as the boss but also seamlessly step into the role of a Ticketing Reservation Officer. While Jaflinks is often associated with me as my flagship business, it’s important to recognize that it represents just one part of my corporate portfolio. Beyond Jaflinks, my endeavors extend into Energy, Pharmaceuticals, Real Estate ventures, and Farming – domains where my caliber and achievements find deeper roots. As the Country Director of OPG Energy Ventures Ltd, a listed entity on the London Stock Exchange, I’m actively involved in the establishment of a 550-megawatt solar utility plant in Ghana. This initiative, as an Independent Power Producer (IPP), aims to provide the nation with clean and renewable energy, contributing to the global effort to preserve our planet. Teaming up with NSL Group Limited, a major wholesale distributor of pharmaceuticals based in the UK, stands out as one of my successful international ventures. With the support of my team, I am determined to transform it into a significant medical supplier in the ECOWAS Region. Additionally, my involvement inMillennium Property Development in the UAE, with its ongoing international expansion, adds another layer to my diverse and global business portfolio.
