I was once told a story by an uncle about when I was three years old. According to him, he came to our house one day and sawme sitting on a stool. Excited to see me, he tried to carry me from the stool, but I clamped my legs to it and would not let go. In such a way that when he picked me up, he carried me with it. Then I said, “Yeah, I am a beautiful airplane.” Thinking back on this, I wonder whether I was predicting my future then, that I would work in the aviation industry. After I graduated fromTakoradi Polytechnic, I attended a secretarial school with the aim of pursuing a career as a Personal Assistant. I pursued this for a couple of years, working with several multinational companies, including AFGO Fisheries. Later, I attended the Ghana Airways Training School, training as a Ticketing Officer. I loved the airline industry because of the glamour it exuded. I guess I was carried away by their uniforms. I love beautiful things. When I was much younger, I thought I would be an actress and star in movies. Initially, I wanted to be an air hostess, but I needed a second language to do that, preferably French. However, I really wasn’t interested in going to school to study French. So, I first joined Alitalia as ground staff, working with them for almost eight years, mostly doing ticketing reservation. Afterward, I joined Emirates, where I worked for nine years, doing ticketing reservation and telemarketing. Ambition Flameof 18 The Birthday Journal
