Our housemistress swiftly packed my things and gave me a hug as she and some others helped me carry my stuff as we made our way out of the dormitory. It was all hush, hush; no one knew I was leaving school. Meanwhile, my grandmother, Obaapanyin Comfort Ansah (aka Auntie C), was waiting at the headmistress’ office. I wasn’t sure what was happening other than that I was going home, and no one bothered to tell me. On our way back home, we passed by Prempeh College to see my brother.
