Not only was it difficult to get the necessary books to study, but the library was also ill equipped, so it was tough for some of us, but the rich kids had books being bought from the UK for them. My last two years in medical school were great, in that, I discovered my influential aunt in Accra. My mother’s cousin, Mrs. Comfort Engmann, was the proprietress of North Ridge Lyceum, and former headmistress of Mfantsiman Secondary School.
