I’ve got five years left until retirement, and I’m determined to make them amazing! Retirement is on the horizon, and I’m excited about it. I’ve achieved a lot in my life, but I’m not done yet. In these final five years, I plan to make a significant impact. I used to wish for a quieter place, for less work, but now I realise I thrive on hard work! My dream now is to maximise the opportunities I’ve been given. I want to engage, understand the needs here, and make a difference. I’m passionate about dedicating more time to causes I care about, particularly those involving children. My sister, Adjoa, and I have embarked on a journey by building a house for an orphanage near our hometown, Bekwai, as a tribute to our mother. But that’s just the beginning. In the future, I see myself working with young adults, especially in personal development and health. Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to empowering young women and nurturing their potential. Whether in the United States or Sierra Leone, I’ve helped individuals advance in their careers. As I approach retirement, my passion continues. I aim to empower and mentor young people, especially young women and girls, by sharing my experiences, knowledge, and insights to help them reach their full potential and make a positive impact in their communities. On the social front, there’s something I’m super excited about – more travel! I’ve been to every continent in the world, which is amazing. But guess what? I’m not done exploring. There are still so many cool places out there I want to see and experience. Retirement isn’t the end; it’s the beginning of a new chapter filled with adventures. Each trip is like collecting stories and learning about different cultures. The world is vast and amazing, and I’m ready to explore every part of it. So, here’s to the next awesome adventure! for the future Dreams 46 The Birthday Journal
