Commodore, you have devoted the greater part of your life to serving Ghana with distinction, integrity, and a deep sense of patriotic duty. It remains a point of great pride for me that in 2016, I had the distinct honour of conferring upon you the Order of the Volta in recognition of your decades of exemplary service to our homeland. Beyond your outstanding record of public and military service, you occupy a cherished place in our hearts. To many of us in the National Democratic Congress (NDC), you are far more than an elder statesman. You are a beloved father figure, a pillar of strength, and a trusted mentor whose profound wisdom and counsel we continue to cherish.
