A Distinguished Giant At the 2026 GSTS Founders’ Day Distinguished Alumni Awards, Commodore Stephen George Obimpeh was honoured for his distinguished service to Ghana, leadership and contribution to national development. A proudmember of the GSTS Class of 1961, his journey from the Ghana Navy to public service reflects a lifetime devoted to country and community. Receiving the honour on behalf of his fellow awardees, he expressed his gratitude and left the younger generation of Giants with a simple call to service: “May we all be called to service. God bless our homeland Ghana andmake our nation great. Giants, Giants, I thank you.” —Commodore Stephen George Obimpeh (Rtd.) The Birthday Journal 13
