Bonsu Magazine

John Velazquez One thing that truly stands out about Bonsu is his devotion to family, unwavering integrity, and strong work ethic. During our time in Iraq, we crossed paths while Mr. Tutu was serving, and he happened to be my boss. We shared an office for a year and a half, which allowed us to forge a great relationship both at work and outside of it. We engaged in numerous exercises together and shared a mutual passion for business. He’s not just a colleague but a true gentleman and a friend. At one point, we even contemplated starting a business together due to our shared entrepreneurial spirit. As you celebrate your 50th birthday, Bonsu, I wish you and your family abundant blessings. It’s a remarkable milestone that signifies wisdom gained and memories cherished. Here’s to the next chapter of your life, which I’m sure will be even more extraordinary. Sydney Osei Tutu Uncle Bonsuuuu, your jovial and kind nature is something I truly cherish! Every interaction we’ve had has brought sunshine to my day, and I have complete trust in you as a pillar in my life. One of my memorable moments with you was when I visited Germany in 2012. It was my first time in the country, and I immediately felt comfortable and safe thanks to you. I had an absolute blast with my parents, Sedrick, and Shabohn, and it left an indelible impression on me. As you embark on the next 10 years, my wish for you is to continue accomplishing all your dreams and aspirations, Godwilling. May you stay close to your family, find solace in life’s simple pleasures, and constantly discover new things about yourself and the world around you. I look forward to spending more time together in the coming decade and sharing in the adventures that lie ahead! Kofi Wurapa I met this guy back in Class Six (Liquor Store) in Ft. Campbell KY in 1997 (if you know, you know). He was with the 160th Soar back then. We’ve been great friends ever since. Over the years, we’ve crossed paths in Ghana, Ft. Bragg, and now in VA. Sometime back, I realized he’s like a brother from another mother. Happy Birthday to you, my brother. I know you, and it seems like you’re trying to catch up to me in age. Slow down! Thomas Dakwa Bonsu is like royalty—a truly regal presence. His cool and easygoing nature makes him an absolute delight to hang out with. One memorable encounter took place at a party in Washington, D.C., where we bonded over conversations and shared sips. It was an exceptionally cool and enjoyable moment that I’ll always cherish. As we embark on the journey of the next decade, my heartfelt wish for Bonsu is a tapestry of blessings. I wish him the best of health, God’s unwavering grace, the enduring love of his boys, his incredibly cool wife, and the warmth of his loving family. May this next chapter be filled with countless moments of joy and fulfillment. Araba Appiah Bonsu’s generous spirit is a radiant gem among his many qualities. His eagerness to share knowledge and go the extra mile to help others succeed is truly admirable. Our journey began in 2007 through his wonderful wife, my dear Sister/FriendMumsy, in North Carolina. Over the years, we’ve forged cherished family moments and celebrated holidays together in each other’s homes, spanning fromNorth Carolina to South Carolina and Virginia. We’ve witnessed our children growing up, and we lovingly refer to each other as adoptive siblings. Despite our playful “bickering,” I trust Bonsu to speak his mind because I know he always has my best interests at heart. As Bonsu marks this golden milestone of his 50th birthday, I’m overflowing with excitement. His journey has been guided by God’s grace and his unwavering dedication to family. My prayer for him in the next decade and beyond is a symphony of blessings—long life, robust health, boundless wealth, unceasing happiness, and love in abundance. Happy 50th Birthday, Bonsu, and as we jest with each other 50 percent of the time, “Wu di3 ey3” (It’s enough)!
